Alritey, Good Morning Brisbane!
haha..yep, i had a good night sleep. Which is good, coz i was damn freaking tired from all the walking yesterday. Went back to Garden Points with Thomas today.
Today's program: 1) Discover Brisbane Session
2) FIND ACCOMODATION..yess number 1 priority!
3) Get my student id card
4) Find a belt..forgot to bring one..darn

Alrite, discover brisbane. It's basically a briefing where all essential information is provided. Things like banking, campus facilities, transport and stuff. Sayako, a japanese lady was giving us the briefing. And, erm, i dun wanna sound rude coz she's very nice n everything. But i couldn't hardly understand what was she saying..haha..not entirely but it was a tad hard.

Anyway it was alrite, and i came to realize that i came to Australia really early. Cause these sessions will normally be quite full. And today there was only me, Thomas and this other girl, Gemma from England. But the highlight came after Discover Brisbane. And it's the accomodation talk!
Yeah! Alrite, a few students from ISS Accomodations came over and explain to us to process to aquire housing. What to look out for like the locations, furnishing and stuff adds to the rent of the place. How does a tendency lease works and bonds. Lotsa info!

Next they brought us to the accomodation centre to look at all the ads for various place and suburbs. They have a service where we can choose 3 places of our choice. And they will send us to that location to check them out. Now these guys were very very helpful. Jollie, a student @ QUT answered all my questions. And she helped me to call and booked appointments for me tommorrow! wow, i can't believe it! 2 thumbs up for these guys at ISS! yeah..!

Thomas was lucky, he got to view his places today in the afternoon. Oh well, its alrite i can go off to city and do my stuff. Anyway i went to do my student pass. The card machine is green today yeah! The process is quite fast, check passport, visa, take a digital picture and boom! The card is ready in 10 minutes.

Yeah! now i don't need to worry about transport fares. Coz there's concessions on public transport! I head down to Queens St Mall to walk around. Look at the shops and see if i can find my belt. Some places are really quite expensive.

Didn't find my belt today, but it's okay. Anyway i'm coming back tommorrow.
Had my dinner at this small chinese place near Gardens Point. It's prices are quite reasonable,
i had fried rice with spring rolls for only $4.95. =) yummm..

hehe..cool huh. Saw this warship on my way home. There's a maritime museum just next to Goodwill bridge. hehe

CityCat

This is the CityCat boat. It's a boat ferry that runs up and down Brisbane river from Hamilton to St Lucia. There's another ferry service named Cityferry, this service runs across the river from the city to South Brisbane/Kangaroo Point. You can transfer from the bus to any of these ferries. =)

Yep another day all done and i'm back at my room!
