O - Week! Or rather O - Day. Hur hur. =P
O is for orientation. =)
Yeah, today i woke up early. But i was 15 minutes late! Damnity.
Guess i took my morning run too seriously, or rather i was struggling with the steep slopes of my running route. Argh!
When i bathed and got dressed, it was 8:30am. Whoops, that's the stated time for O-day to start.
Hurry, hurry! It's a good thing my place is just a stone's throw from my campus. And i knew exactly where is P block. I reached there within 10 minutes and i saw alot of people still gathered a the lobby. Right...it hasn't started yet. Darn, and i ran all the way! phew.
Anyway i registered, got my name tag *argh, i don't like name tags* together my package of papers and i just waited. It's a good thing i arrived slightly late, or else i will be waiting like mad till 9:15am. Thank God!

The Director gave us her welcome speech and stuff. She highlighted all the important stuff, like attendance, the grade point average you have to achieve to go to your faculty of choice. Mine is 5, Damn stressed! The rest were Yahda Yahda Yahda....quite mundane. After the whole brief, she asked us if we have any questions. And this guy asked a redundent question on where can he smoke. gah! everyone's eyes must have rolled at his question.
The building was pratically an area totally filled of No Smoking signs? i think i will draw a yellow box for him..haha *NS personal will know what i'm talking about*

Had tea after the briefing, darn long queue for the foody. i didn't feel like queuing up for the food, because the the crowd was freaking huge. But the student mentors were really nice by offering drinks to people who were just standing around.
I don't mind skipping out on the food, because i had my breadfast. So i was just standing around and waiting for time to past. Quite bored, due to the fact mostly everyone had their own clicks. And they were talking in cantonese or chinese. Gah.

But to my suprised, a student mentor came up to my introduce herself to me. It turns out that she's in the same course as mem, but she's doing her 2nd semester now. Can't really remember her name because she's japanese. It's Ikumasu?? haha..will update when i see her again.
She's practially gathered all of the people in Prof Com and introduce us to each other. Great!
I finally got to known the 1st Singaporean in my course, her name is Therese. Graduated from JI and had worked for a few years, she plans to major in Mass Comm. Another girl named Esther from Malaysia, a guy called Ted from Taiwan. Plus other assorted guys and girls from Taiwan and China. Can't really remember their names..haha
Anyway our course cohort is pretty small, there are less then 20 people i think.

After tea was the units online enrolment, which was a breeze, due to the fact that i had already done my student id card. And activated my QUT virtural. In around 15mins i was all done in selecting my units and confirming them. After that i went off for an early lunch with Therese and Esther. hehe...The rest had to do their student cards and password and had to follow the program, haha!. Good thing i already done those over 1 week ago, therefore i had lunch *free! Courtesy of the sch* at the refectory *canteen*. Had fried noodles, which was pretty dry...urgh.

After lunch we had to head back for this language and learning session. Rena, whom is the language adviser, asked all of us to write a short essay about ourselves. And she expected a higher standard from all the creative industry people. Doh! i have to write as creatively as possible for this eassy!
damnity... Anyway, it's for her to gauge our standard of writing. I really hope for next week to come, so i can see how i fare. Really want to improve my writing!

And that ends my orientation.....yay =P
